The St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus Church in Akmenynė is a historical and cultural heritage site, originally founded as a Uniate church in 1830. The current building was erected in 1928, and the parish was established in 1945. This tall, single-nave building with a square tower houses unique art monuments, including the 1834 painting "Our Lady of Sorrows" by A. Valinavičius. The churchyard gates are adorned with iron crosses, and two 19th-century wooden angel sculptures are preserved on the grounds.
This site is a great place to explore history and sacred art.
