The Mišučiai Hillfort, also known as the Nausodė Hillfort, Pilale, or Mongirdas Hillfort, is located on the left bank of the Minija River, where the Prūdupys stream flows into the Minija. This historical site, dating from the 1st millennium to the 13th century, attests to the existence of an ancient settlement in this area. Although the northern part of the hillfort's platform was washed away by the river, and its relief has been disturbed by long-term plowing, the site remains culturally and historically significant.
Today, the hillfort is covered with deciduous trees and shrubs, which add to its natural beauty. Despite the passage of time and natural erosion, the Mišučiai Hillfort remains a valuable archaeological site, bearing witness to the existence of ancient settlements and a fortress. It is an excellent place to explore the past and enjoy the peacefulness of nature.
