In 2024, the children's and youth theatre "Atžalynas" and the international theatre festival "Atžalyno scena" celebrated its prestigious 45th anniversary. For this occasion, a unique installation – the City of Shadows Theatre – was created by artist and former "Atžalynas" member Andrius Seselskis. This creative space has become another impressive cultural landmark in Kretinga.
For several years, the "Atžalynas" theatre presented a shadow play titled "The History of Kretinga in Children's Tales." Now, this installation invites every visitor not only to learn about the theatre but also to create their own shadow performance. Visit this space both day and night, and become an actor in this unique creative environment.
