Panevėžys Jewish Cemetery

Between 1872 and 1940, nearly seven thousand people were buried in the Panevėžys Jewish cemetery. In 1966, the cemetery was abolished, and in its place, a Memorial Square was created with a commemorative stone. Nearby stands the "Weeping Jewish Mother" monument, honoring this historic site.
