Peklynė, an impressive 30-meter-high left bank of the Neris River near Gulaičiai, is famous for its unique relief and legends. Carved by ravines and gullies, it resembles hills, and the rounded peaks enhance this impression. Geologically, this slope formed due to the drainage of proglacial lakes. Additionally, Peklynė is a historical site – on June 30, 1812, Napoleon's army crossed this section of the Neris River.
