The "Cursed Wedding" stones in Verkšionys are a group of rocks protruding from the Neris River, consisting of five brown granite stones. According to local legend, a girl and her fiancé were cursed by the bride's mother, who wanted the groom to turn into stone. As the wedding party crossed the river, they all turned into stones. It is said that many years later, at the end of the world, these cursed people will revive, but their souls will never be able to pass into eternal rest.
