Near the left bank of the Neris River, in the Karmazinai area, there is a boulder known as "Gaidžiai," mentioned in K. Tiškevičius' 1875 book. Its peak, rising above the water, resembles a natural river level gauge. The name may be associated with birds that often perch on the stone, such as herons, goosanders, or ducks.
