In 1745, the Piarist monks in Ukmergė built a wooden Church of the Holy Trinity, which was closed in 1845. After its demolition in 1868, a masonry church was constructed in its place, which later became the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity. This building, in the neo-Byzantine style, features a square plan, a two-tiered tower, and a circular dome. Currently, the church is under the care of the Marian Congregation and continues to play an important religious and cultural role.

In 1745, the Piarist monks established the wooden Church of the Holy Trinity in Ukmergė, which served until 1845 when it was closed. After the church was destroyed by fire and collapse in 1868, a new church was built on the same site. In 1919, when the Catholic Church demanded the return of the land it had owned, the church was handed over to the Catholics. In 1926, the church was entrusted to the Marian Congregation, which has cared for it ever since. This church, built in 1868, features neo-Byzantine architectural style with a square plan. On

the southwest side of the church stands a two-tiered tower, with a square lower section and an octagonal upper section. The tower culminates in a sharp peak. On the northeast side, behind the main facade, is a semicircular apse. Above the church's body rises a round-plan dome with a sloping roof. The building is adorned with pilasters, niches, and arched windows, giving the church a majestic and expressive character. It is not only a religious monument but also a cultural one, playing an important role in both Ukmergė's and Lithuania's history.
