The Monument to the Monks, who founded the monastery in Ukmergė in 1745, is a meaningful historical and cultural symbol dedicated to honoring the monks' contribution to the town and its educational development. The Piarist monks, who settled in Ukmergė, not only built the monastery but also created the second wooden Church of the Holy Trinity and established the first secondary school.
