In Voveraičiai Village, near Salantai Street (Kartenos Forestry, Block 142), a monument stands to honor the memory of Stasys Lukas, leader of the Bugantas Company in the Kardo Unit of the Žemaičiai District; his deputy Juozas Baltuonis; and partisans Kazys Žiobakas and Mykolas Račkus, who perished near the Voveraičiai railway station on August 9, 1947.
The monument was unveiled on June 6, 2014, through the initiative of Juozapas Antanas Viluckas, Chairman of the Kartenos Independence Struggle Commemoration Society. The commemorative plaques were created by stonemason Kęstutis Domarkas. This site symbolizes the struggle of Lithuanian partisans for freedom and serves as a significant historical landmark in the Kretinga region, inviting visitors to honor the sacrifices made in the fight for liberty.
