This symbolic marker was designed by Romas Navickas in 2013 and consecrated on June 6, 2014. The initiative was carried out by Lieutenant General Arvydas Pocius, Commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, and Juozapas Antanas Viluckas, Chairman of the Kartenos Independence Struggle Commemoration Society. The monument serves as a reminder of the partisans’ fight for freedom and invites all to honor their memory.
