Gravestones Honoring Adolfas and Petronėlė Kontrimas

In the Grūšlaukė Cemetery, gravestones commemorate Adolfas Kontrimas (1917–2006), a partisan of the Kardo Unit of the Žemaičiai District, political prisoner, exile, Lithuanian Armed Forces volunteer officer, reserve lieutenant, and Honorary Member of the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union. Beside him rests his wife, Petronėlė Kontrimienė (1924–2011), an active supporter of partisans, exile, and author of memoirs.
These gravestones symbolize the Kontrimas family's contribution to the struggle for freedom and their sacrifice for Lithuania’s independence. They stand as a significant historical monument, testifying to the fight for freedom and the resilience of the Lithuanian people.
