The Janina Monkutė-Marks Museum, located in a historic space in Kėdainiai, opened its doors to visitors on October 20, 2001. This gallery was established at the initiative of the artist herself, transforming the former regional museum building into a modern art venue. The building, originally part of the Juozapava Manor in the early 20th century, has served various purposes throughout its history, including as a notary's office, a student residence, and a museum.

Artist Janina Monkutė-Marks was honored as an honorary citizen of the Kėdainiai region for her significant contribution to cultural life and the promotion of professional art. Since 2023, the museum-gallery has become a division of the Kėdainiai Regional Museum. This venue invites visitors to explore the works of the diaspora artist and contribute to the preservation and celebration of Lithuanian art.

The Janina Monkutė-Marks Museum-Gallery in Kėdainiai is a unique art space, created through the initiative of diaspora artist Janina Monkutė-Marks. The museum officially opened its doors on October 20, 2001, with the symbolic exhibition A Gift to the Homeland, attended by the artist herself, her family members, and distinguished guests. The museum building is steeped in history, dating back to the early 20th century when it was part of the Juozapava Manor. Over time, it served as a notary's office, a student residence, and from 1967 to 2000, it housed the Kėdainiai Regional Museum. In 2000, Janina Monkutė-Marks purchased the
building and transformed it into a modern art gallery. In recognition of her contributions to Lithuanian culture, art promotion, and community building, she was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the Kėdainiai Region in 2007. In 2022, following a family decision to sell the museum, it was acquired by the Kėdainiai District Municipality. In 2023, the museum became a division of the Kėdainiai Regional Museum. Today, the gallery invites visitors to explore Janina Monkutė-Marks' artwork, her exceptional artistic legacy, and the world of contemporary art, all while preserving the historical significance of the building.
