Since 1998, the Rokiškis Regional Museum has been a unique center for nativity scene (Bethlehem) exhibitions in Lithuania. The museum houses a collection of over 130 nativity scenes, likely the only one of its kind in the country.
The exhibitions feature works by a diverse group of creators, including folk artists, craftsmen, students, preschool children, retirees, and families. The nativity scenes are crafted from a wide variety of materials such as wood, clay, straw, flax, paper, dried plants, plastic, and more. All pieces are displayed in the museum's barn, making this exceptional collection accessible to visitors throughout the year.
It’s an excellent destination not only during the Christmas season but also at any time of the year for those seeking authentic traditions and cultural diversity.
