The Rokiškis International Organ Music Festival, dedicated to Czech-born musician and educator Rudolf Lyman, has become an integral part of the city’s cultural life. Each year, the festival organizers focus on three key directions: artistic, educational, and commemorative. Their goal is not only to host high-quality concerts but also to create educational programs and commemorate R. Lyman’s personality and contributions to the city through public art. In 2020, a plaque and a photograph of Rudolf Lyman with his students were unveiled at the Rokiškis Music School as the first step

in the commemoration project. This year, the school was adorned with modern street art murals by artist Marius Skrupskis. These murals, which reflect R. Lyman’s musical legacy, serve as both works of art and symbols of the city’s history, inviting visitors to explore Rokiškis’ musical traditions. The project was initiated and implemented by the Rokiškis Cultural Center, aiming to strengthen the city’s identity as a cultural hub through contemporary art forms. Photography for the project was provided by Andrius Stanys, with funding from the Rokiškis District Municipality.
