In Pandėlys Park, atop a hill, a unique miniature replica of Gediminas’ Castle was unveiled in 2018 to commemorate the centenary of Lithuania's independence restoration on February 16. This 1.55-meter-tall wooden structure stands as a testament to the creativity and patriotism of a united community. The castle was created by Valdas Pipikas, one of the key initiators behind the revitalization of the town's park.
Although the castle was initially planned to be 8 cm taller, the creator humorously remarked, “We were short by one hour.” This small-scale Gediminas’ Castle, adorned with the Lithuanian tricolor flag, has become both a source of pride for the town and an attraction for visitors. Pandėlys Park, with its symbolic structure, invites guests to reflect on Lithuania's history, admire the community's creativity, and draw inspiration from their efforts.
