The rectangular platform of Naujoji Rėva Hillfort, stretching from northeast to southwest and measuring 40×15 meters, with a narrower southwest end, is nestled in the embrace of nature. An impressive 10-meter-long and 2-meter-high embankment with an 11-meter width unfolds in the northeast corner, from which a 7.5-meter-high slope descends into a deep 14-meter-long and 21-meter-wide ditch with a 7-meter-wide bottom.
The majestic slopes, ranging from 12 to 35 meters in height, have been ravaged by erosion and human excavations but are now shrouded by pine branches,
with the underbrush long cleared, opening a new chapter for exploration. In the southwest foothill, within a one-hectare area, lies an ancient settlement with roots tracing back to the early second millennium.
This hillfort, a masterpiece of the past, is hidden near the Šilėnai-Naujoji Rėva road. To reach this enigmatic site, follow the path from Naujoji Rėva village, along the Neris lakelet, and after 300 meters of walking, ascend the steep, clear-cut slope. At its summit, 100 meters to the northeast, stands the historical monument we see today.
