Raminta's Spring is a unique natural spot located at the entrance to Obeliai, near the Antanašė road, on the northeastern shore of Lake Obeliai. The refreshing spring flows about 150 meters from the lake, nestled between Kranto Alley and Ežero Street, in a small park near J. Zauka Street. This picturesque site attracts both nature lovers and enthusiasts of local legends.
According to legend, the spring is named after Raminta and her love for the warrior Žvitrius, a romance tragically ended by his death in battle. Lake Obeliai is also steeped in stories, including tales of a sunken German manor and hidden treasure in its depths. Raminta’s spirit, as the legend goes, aids only those who love their land and are honest. The spring and its surrounding legends make this site a captivating destination for tourists seeking mysticism and a connection with nature.
