was among the founders of Lithuanian independence and, in 1918, became the Minister of Agriculture and State Assets in A. Voldemaras' government. He played an active role in shaping the political and economic foundations of the country. After stepping away from politics, Tūbelis focused on creating farmer cooperatives, contributing significantly to Lithuania's economic growth. Although often overshadowed by President Antanas Smetona, Tūbelis' contributions to the nation were no less significant.
