The current Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pandėlys was built in the 19th century under the patronage of Ukmergė Marshal Ignacas Koscialkovskis. During World War I, the church suffered severe damage—its wooden towers were shelled and destroyed, and all three bells were taken to Russia. After the war, only one bell was recovered.
The church towers were rebuilt only in 2006. They now house four bells donated by German faithful, with the largest bell, named Lucia, weighing over 350 kg. The Pandėlys church remains not only a religious site but also a historical and cultural heritage landmark, attracting both worshippers and history enthusiasts.
