Erected in 1993, the remarkable monument "Rūpintojėlis," created by sculptor Robertas Antinis Jr. and architect Eugenijus Miliūnas, symbolizes the memory of the deportees and the deceased. The monument resembles a chapel, featuring niches where candles can be lit, transforming it into a glowing lantern, with a special place designated for laying flowers. Numerous small headstones have been installed adjacent to the monument, dedicated to immortalizing the names of those who perished in Siberia and exile. This unique creation serves not only as a memorial but also as a popular destination frequently visited by history enthusiasts and tourists.
