The Wall Cross, standing in the center of Skuodas, is an important cultural monument that commemorates the early Catholic missions. Erected in 1567 by J. Chodkevičius, this cross is the oldest monument in Lithuania that has survived and was restored in 1990 after being demolished during the Soviet era. The cross, standing 10 meters tall, features a metal cross at the top and niches that house images of saints, including St. Mary. It is a place where Skuodas residents commemorate national holidays and welcome guests, with oaks planted nearby symbolizing significant national leaders.
