Skuodas Museum, established in 1991, opened its doors to visitors in 1992, commemorating the 420th anniversary of Skuodas town's self-governance. The museum is located in the historic Skuodas Manor building, where the first gymnasium operated in 1918. The museum holds about 22,000 exhibits, including archaeological, historical, ethnographic, folk art, and other items, most of which have been donated by locals. Thanks to renovations, the museum has updated exhibits: Skuodas history, traditional crafts, sports, folk art exhibitions, and an informational terminal about Apuolė hillfort, which virtually reveals the life of the Curonians.

Skuodas Museum was founded in 1991 and welcomed visitors for the first time in 1992 during the celebration of the 420th anniversary of Skuodas's self-governance. The museum operates in the historical Skuodas Manor building, whose walls echo many historical events. This building hosted the first gymnasium in 1918, followed by various cultural institutions, the last of which was a music school. Thus, the museum preserves not only historical but also cultural and spiritual value. The museum has amassed approximately 22,000 exhibits from collections of archaeology, history, ethnography, numismatics,
and folk art, many of which have been donated by the residents of Skuodas or discovered during expeditions. After the latest museum renovation, visitors can see updated exhibitions: "The History of Skuodas Town Formation," "Crafts and Women's Work in Skuodas Region," "Sports History of Skuodas District," "Folk Art of Skuodas." Particularly notable is the informational terminal about Apuolė hillfort—the oldest settlement in Lithuania. Through the terminal, visitors can virtually explore Curonian culture, weaponry, attire, and Viking combat methods, as well as visit a virtual museum exhibition.
