In the town of Truskava, Kėdainiai district, you can discover a unique cultural heritage gem – the Church of the Holy Spirit. Its history dates back to 1794 when Jonas and Barbora Truskauskai built the first wooden church, allocated a land plot, and established a shelter. Later, in 1854, a rectangular brick church was constructed, reflecting the parish's life dynamics and the challenges of that era. The current church, built during the Soviet era, is an impressive architectural masterpiece designed by Alfredas Paulauskas. In 1998, it was consecrated by Panevėžys Bishop Juozas Preikšas. The sanctuary features a
modern basilica-style design with a unique three-nave cruciform layout. The facade is adorned with Kęstutis Patamsis' sculpture Blessing Christ, while the interior captivates with stained glass windows The Way of the Cross, created by Simas Gutauskas, and intricate ceiling vaults reminiscent of constellations. Inside the church, the highlight is the E. F. Walcker organ installed in 2018, originally crafted in Germany during the 1960s. This baroque-style instrument, featuring 17 registers, is renowned for its exceptional sound quality and stands out as one of the most distinctive organs of its kind in the region.
