In 2004, a reinforced concrete cross was erected on the grave of partisan Kazimieras Karalius, featuring a cast metal bas-relief of the Crucified Christ's head and the Vytis Cross symbol. A black granite plaque below bears the inscription “PARTISAN / KAZYS / KARALIUS /.” Kazys Karalius, born in 1922 in the village of Šekai, hid from Soviet army conscription and joined the LLA Žemaičių Legion partisans. He died in 1945 in the Šekai forest during a battle with NKVD forces. His grave was added to the Register of Cultural Heritage in 2017.
