This historical site, located near Vilnius, offers a glimpse into the lifestyle and culture of the early first millennium. The hillfort, overgrown with trees and shrubs, and marked by signs of ancient human presence, may have served as an important defensive point or cultural center. Despite its current overgrown appearance and the presence of pits and furrows, it remains a valuable part of our cultural and historical heritage.
Although the hillfort today may not be in an obvious state of preservation, its historical significance and the opportunity to learn from the past are immeasurable. The site, situated close to the strategic Vilnius-Panevėžys highway (A2), accessible from Bukiškės towards Sudervė, provides easy access for those interested in exploring the traces of our ancestors' lives.
