Founded in 1998, the museum features exhibits that reflect the history of Veisiejai School and the stories of local residents' deportations. Visitors can explore the history of the region and learn about notable figures, including the renowned ophthalmologist and creator of the Esperanto language, Ludwik Lazarus Zamenhof, who came to Veisiejai in 1885 and completed his language project here. The museum also honors organist and composer Juozas Neimontas and poet Sigitas Geda, both significant contributors to the region's cultural heritage.
