This house was the residence of renowned Lithuanian historian and priest Jonas Reitelaitis from 1950 to 1966. Reitelaitis contributed significantly to the design and construction of Krikštonys Church. Today, it serves as a memorial museum dedicated to his legacy, housing his personal belongings and works. The Church of Christ the King in Krikštonys stands as his most important legacy—it is the only church in Lithuania designed and built by a priest during the interwar period. Reitelaitis innovatively interpreted neo-Gothic and national styles. Visits to the museum are available by appointment only.
