Near the "Skuodo Sea" reservoir in the Skuodas district lies a significant Jewish genocide site (cultural heritage, code – 21808) commemorating the victims of the Nazi atrocities in 1941. Close to the Kulai cemetery on Kretingos Street, a memorial stands with stone plaques adorned with metal Stars of David and inscriptions in Lithuanian and Hebrew. The inscription reads, "Here in 1941, approximately 800 Skuodas Jews were murdered." The area is surrounded by a fence decorated with six-pointed stars, with a stone pathway and steps for visitors. This site symbolizes a painful chapter in Lithuania's history and preserves the memory of the victims.
