Kivakalnis, also known as "Witches' Hill," is famed for legends about witch gatherings that supposedly took place there. This hill is one of the highest in the Žagarai moraine massif, formed by the last glacier around 13,000–15,000 years ago. The impressive Kivakalnis slope reaches a height of 14 meters. According to tales, witches would gather on this hill, coming even from as far as Kyiv, giving rise to the name Kievakalnis or Kivakalnis.
