Located in the northwest of Mosėdis town, at the end of Akmenų Street, the old cemetery has become an integral part of the area. The cemetery, about 300 meters from the church, has a long history, having been established in 1845 with permission from Bishop Giedraitis. In the same year, a brick chapel with an altar dedicated to St. Roch was built with funds from the parishioners, becoming the center of the cemetery. Here, one can see the oldest iron crosses dating back to the late 19th century, from the period of the press ban. The Mosėdis Cemetery Chapel (unique code 30635) has been included in the Register of Cultural Heritage of Lithuania and protected by the state since 2005.
