The history of Veisiejai Manor dates back to 1501 when the Grand Duke of Lithuania, Alexander, granted these lands to the Glinski family. In 1613, the estate was taken over by the Radziwiłł family, and in 1733 it was purchased by Teodoras Masalskis, later managed by his sons Andrius and Stanislovas. The manor’s architecture was shaped by the Grand Hetman of Lithuania, Mykolas Juozapas Masalskis, who married Franciška Oginskaitė. From 1743 to 1745, impressive U-shaped palaces with two wings were constructed.
To this day, only one wing remains—a one-story brick building, renovated in 2015 with funds from the EU. It now houses the visitor center and administration of the Veisiejai Regional Park, providing visitors the opportunity to explore the environment of this historically valuable manor and learn about the nature of the Veisiejai region.
