The first church in Seirijai was built in 1537, believed to be established by the Grand Duchy of Lithuania's hetman, Georgijus Radziwiłł. In 1584, Mykolas Radziwiłł founded a new brick sanctuary for the Evangelical Reformed community, which later became Catholic. By the 18th century, the church was in poor condition, but between 1793 and 1816, it underwent renovations, adding a porch, a presbytery, and a brick tower. In 1912, a project for the church's reconstruction was prepared, but the work was interrupted by World War I. Construction of a new church began in 1939, but World War II again halted progress. The church was restored between 1953–1963 and 1963–1977. The sanctuary, featuring Renaissance elements, stands in the center of Seirijai, surrounded by a stone and metal fence.
