The Palazdijų Mound, located on the eastern shore of Lake Baltoji, captivates with its steep slopes, which rise to heights of 9 to 12 meters. At the top, there is an oval platform with a diameter of 20 to 25 meters, surrounded by an earthen rampart ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 meters high, designed for defense. A terrace is located on the western slope of the mound, and nearby, a bunker was excavated during wartime. To the south and northeast of the mound, an ancient settlement extended, where fragments of pottery, clay plaster, and animal bones were discovered, indicating past activities in the area. The Palazdijų Mound and the surrounding settlement date back to the 1st millennium AD.
