Located on the hillside by the shore of Lake Prapunto, the Buteliūnai Mound is an important historical site from the early 1st millennium. This oval mound features a platform measuring approximately 17 by 12 meters, characterized by a slightly raised center about 0.5 meters high. The moderately steep slopes rise to approximately 820 meters. Due to agricultural activity, the mound has been significantly damaged and is currently overgrown, with one side covered by deciduous trees. In 2001, archaeologist E. Ivanauskas conducted an excavation over a 16 m² area of the mound but found no cultural layer. Nevertheless, this mound is a significant landscape feature and is worth visiting for anyone interested in Lithuania's archaeology and cultural heritage.
