The Prelomčiškės Mound is one of the most impressive sites in the Meteliai Regional Park, associated with the Jotvingians who lived here in the 13th century. The mound stands on the western shore of Lake Dusios, where there was once a Jotvingian settlement and a wooden castle with defensive fortifications. From the top of the mound, visitors can enjoy a stunning panorama of Lake Dusios, making it an excellent place for walking and exploring historical heritage. In July, the traditional Oninės festival takes place here, attracting visitors from all over Lithuania.
