On September 29, 2023, Utena celebrated World Tourism Day while also marking the 25th anniversary of the Utena Tourist Information Center. On this occasion, the bronze sculpture "The Eternal Tourist," created by sculptor Lukas Šiupšinskas, was unveiled in the city. This charming character, with a "Hemingway-style" beard, is ready for travel and tourism, carrying everything one might need: a hiking stick, camera, binoculars, ice skates, roller skates, a swimming ring, and a tourist backpack. Anyone can travel—whether a small child or an experienced senior—but each has their own unique style.

in Utena. During this celebration, the bronze sculpture "The Eternal Tourist" was given the name Uteivis. The naming ceremony also honored the sculpture's "godmother," Jūratė Brasiūnienė, head of the Culture Department of the Utena District Municipality Administration. Next to the Utena Tourist Information Center, Uteivis awaits all who wish to discover the Utena region or dream of traveling to new places. Traveling is always worthwhile—it's an experience filled with adventure and discovery. Dream of your journeys! Your dreams can become a reality—all you need to do is choose a destination and lift your gaze from the Eternal Tourist's binoculars.
