This massive boulder is one of the largest geological natural monuments in Lithuania, ranking eighth in size. It was declared a protected site in 1968. The boulder has an irregular, rounded shape with a raised ridge. Its dimensions (the part above the ground) reach 3.23 meters in height, 7.61 meters in length, and 5.21 meters in width. The largest horizontal circumference is 18.55 meters. At one time, the boulder was hidden among alders until its larger part was uncovered. Attempts to use the boulder for monument steps and retaining walls left clear traces of human activity—48 chisel-cut rectangular indentations.
