The Pagirinis and Dumblynas lakes near Pakalniai are known as manor lakes. Between these two lakes once stood the Pakalniai Manor, and now, in its place, grows the Pakalniai Oak, a state-owned and protected natural heritage site. The impressive trunk of this oak has a circumference of 5.44 meters and a height of 22 meters. It was declared a state-protected botanical natural monument back in 1960.
