In 2004, the cornerstone was consecrated for the Utena Divine Providence parish church, which soon took on a modern, contemporary architectural appearance. The red brick façade resembles the old Utena church, yet stands out with original architectural solutions. Architects Ričardas Krištapavičius and Mindaugas Jamantas incorporated the symbolism of Divine Providence in the church's form: the main part resembles the line of an eye, while the triangular bell tower creates a harmonious composition. The interior is minimalist—featuring open red brick walls, metal structures, concrete columns, and wooden confessionals. In the presbytery, there is an altar and pulpit made of Lithuanian stone, created by sculptor Valentinas Šimonėlis. The stained glass windows, including the spatial ones above the altar and the angel windows, symbolize Divine Providence and Christ. The Stations of the Cross, also stained glass, stand out for their artistic design and have no analogues in Lithuania.
