The first church in Kuktiškės was established as early as 1604, and although it has been rebuilt several times, the current wooden sanctuary was constructed in 1900 thanks to the efforts of Pastor K. Valiūnas and the parishioners. This church, which is still in operation today, features an eclectic style, unique for its H-shaped layout and impressive façade with four columns. Inside, there are octagonal columns with pedestals, and the ceilings are decorated with distinctive wooden coffered designs. The church has three altars and houses a wealth of valuable religious art pieces.
The churchyard contains a wooden belfry and a notable cross carved in 1913 by the renowned woodcarver Antanas Deveikis from the Utena region. This cross, included in the Register of Cultural Heritage, was restored in 1988 through the efforts of E. Bernotas, D. Maštavičiūtė, A. Martinaitytė, and I. Šimelis.
