The modern Kėdainiai City Park was established in the 19th century on the estate grounds of the former manor. At that time, the Čapskis family built a palace and created a beautiful park. At the end of the 19th century, the manor was inherited by Russian army general Eduard Totleben, who renovated the palace and adorned the park. This landscaped park is one of the earliest and most beautiful in Lithuania. To commemorate the wars with Turkey and embellish the park, pavilions, a mosque, and a 28-meter-high minaret were constructed around 1880. Although the mosque has not survived, the minaret remains the only such freestanding structure in Lithuania, attracting tourists and those interested in architectural heritage.
This park is not only a historical legacy of the manor but also a wonderful place for both locals and tourists to walk and explore the unique cultural heritage of Lithuania.
