Skinderiškis Dendrological Park, located in the western part of the Kėdainiai district, is a unique place where the Samogitian Highlands meet the Central Lithuanian Lowlands. Established by renowned forester Kęstutis Kaltenis (1935–2022), the park is one of the most valuable dendrological parks in Lithuania, comparable to botanical gardens. It is home to around 1,300 species of trees, shrubs, and vines from all over the world. The park is divided into geographical zones where plants are grouped by their region of origin: Europe, Siberia, the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Far East, China-Japan, and North America. Visitors will be particularly impressed by the flora of the Far East and North

America, where plant species number about 350 and 250, respectively. This dendrological park offers visitors the opportunity to admire not only the diversity of plants but also the natural landscape, enhanced by the waters of the Šušvė Reservoir, which creates a unique environment with peninsulas, islands, and bays. The park is especially beautiful in autumn, when the maples turn golden, and in spring, when the magnolias bloom. Additionally, the park features informative signs with plant names, observation towers, an open-air stage, gazebos, benches, and even a designated parking area. A sculpture titled "Hands Nurturing the Tree" honors the park’s founder, Kęstutis Kaltenis.
