Babėnai Forest Park, located in the northern part of Kėdainiai city, is a beautiful recreational area covering 292 hectares. The forest stretches almost 5 km along the right bank of the Nevėžis River valley, near the Kėdainiai-Krekenava road, from Kėdainiai Hospital to Sirutiškis. In the northern part lies Babėnai Quarry, featuring a popular swimming spot where locals love to cool off during the summer.

The forest is dominated by deciduous trees such as oaks, maples, birches, and aspens, but there are also plenty of coniferous trees like pines, spruces, and mountain pines. The average age of the trees exceeds 100 years. Although a military base operated here during Soviet times, today it only remains a part of history.

The forest features a wellness trail and a recreational-educational path, perfect for jogging, cycling, or leisurely walks. The park's trails are equipped with viewpoints and rest areas, sculptures, outdoor furniture, and fire pits. The total trail length is 3.7 km, and the surface consists of natural wood chips and stone steps. The trailhead is easily accessible from Aušros Street or Budrys Street, with a short walk to the right.
