Located near the main J. Basanavičius Street at the entrance to Kėdainiai from Cinkiškis, the renovated Vytautas Park spans an area of 3.6 hectares. Situated in a residential zone, the park is designed for both active and peaceful recreation. Families can enjoy various amenities, as the park is equipped with modern sports and playgrounds. The youngest visitors will delight in the fairy-tale playhouses, climbing structures, a "spider" climbing frame, and a "safari" play device. For the littlest ones, there's a colorful sandbox and climbing hills, while older children can challenge themselves on a linear bike track and a hilly track that enhances physical skills. Seniors can enjoy the pétanque court, offering a popular ball game for relaxation.
For visitors' convenience, the park features walking paths with
benches, lighting for safe and pleasant evening strolls, and security cameras to ensure safety. One of the park's standout features is the photodynamic water fountain, which attracts visitors with its light and water display – with streams reaching up to 2 meters high.
Vytautas Park also holds historical significance. On October 28, 1995, marking the anniversary of Vytautas the Great’s death, a commemorative pillar was erected in his honor. The sculpture, created by Vytautas Remeikis, a former political prisoner, symbolizes Vytautas the Great's strength, featuring the grand duke holding a sword and shield at the top. Below him is his coat of arms, followed by the inscription: "Vytautas – this is our belief in ourselves." This monument and park commemorate the legacy of the great Lithuanian grand duke.
