Just 4 km from Telšiai, near the famous Džiuginėnai Hillfort, stands the historic Džiuginėnai Manor. According to legends, this hillfort is the burial site of the giant Džiugas, the founder of the city of Telšiai. The manor's history is deeply connected to the past of Samogitia, with the first mentions of the area dating back to the 18th century.
The Džiuginėnai Manor consists of four buildings: one residential and three utility buildings. It is linked to the prominent Gorskiai family, the writer Žemaitė, and the artist Juozas Perkovskis. The manor's buildings have preserved their authentic architecture, attracting visitors who wish to learn about Samogitian culture and history.
In the southwestern part of Džiuginėnai village lies Germantas Lake, known for its clean water, popular among both locals and tourists. Although the lake covers only 162 hectares, it is ideal for relaxation in nature, especially for those who appreciate tranquility and a natural environment.
