The church in Gelsodė village is an important cultural and historical site in the Telšiai district. In 1911, the peasants of Gelsodė village donated a plot of land for a cemetery, and P. Paulauskas, a resident of the Beibelis area, donated land for the church. The current wooden church was built in 1912 and became a filial of the Luokė parish.
This church stands out for its folk architectural forms and features reflecting the Neo-Gothic style. It is a twin-towered church, blending traditional elements of folk architecture with Neo-Gothic details. The churchyard is enclosed by a wooden fence, adding further authenticity to this cultural landmark.
