This trail invites visitors to explore one of Lithuania’s most notable archaeological sites – Spiginas Cape and Island. It’s a unique location preserving history from the Mesolithic period. Excavations conducted in 1985–1986 revealed that Spiginas Cape was an important Mesolithic campsite, with a rich collection of flint artifacts found here. On the island's hill, locals were buried. Four graves were uncovered, three dating back to the Mesolithic period (6660 BC – 3775 BC) and one to the Late Neolithic (around 2600 BC).
The trail is 2.5 km long and takes about 1.5 hours to complete, making it an excellent choice for nature and history enthusiasts.
