This piece reflects the teenage years in Marijampolė—spending free time in cars, nighttime drives through city streets, romantic dates in parking lots, and the excitement before a first kiss.
Cars provide the perfect setting for discovering and sharing new music. Here, passengers, undeterred by outside distractions, can immerse themselves in a variety of music genres—from intense electronic beats to subtle classical melodies—that make you feel like the hero of a music video or the coolest person in the neighborhood.
An integral part of the artwork is the inscription “Depeche Mode,” which first appeared on this wall in 1991, written by a member of the local "Depeche Mode" fan club. This place was a meeting spot for punks and metalheads after concerts and, for others, a romantic rendezvous location.
