In addition, Peace Park features a historical heritage element—wayside crosses that commemorate the victims of Soviet terror. This area, where executed individuals were buried between 1944 and 1953, was marked by the erection of these crosses in 1990, establishing Peace Park with various trees and shrubs. Every June 14th, the park hosts the Day of Mourning and Hope, providing an opportunity to remember and honor historical events.
